Every September, new conferences & courses are popping up. I usually take this opportunity to identify relevant content for me; it’s back-to-school time, I guess ๐
In my search this year, I noticed a lot of talk about the “next big skill” for Business Analysts (hello, AI!). On one side, this provides a lot of interesting things to start exploring.
On the other side, it clashes with another conversation happening at the same time in organizations. Stakeholders share their frustrations around unclear requirements, overlapping roles, or slow analysis activities.
Are we focusing on the right thing? Shouldn’t we first address what’s not working well with our practice?
Over the last 20 years, working as a BA or with BAs, I’ve seen firsthand how the perception of Business Analysts can make or break the success of any initiative. So I decided to explore how Business Analysts are perceived by the people they collaborate with in organizations – including developers, UX designers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
My goal is to understand where BAs could improve to become invaluable partners. You collaborate somehow with BAs? I want your honest feedback!
๐ I’ve put together a short 5-minute anonymous survey to capture your perspective on the topic – whether you’re a BA or someone working with BAs.
Please don’t hesitate to share this survey in your network. Thanks in advance for helping shape the future of Business Analysis!
And if you’re curious about the results of this survey, I’ll share them in a future blog post.
